TIME FOR NATIONAL RECONCILIATION, RE-ORIENTATION & RECONSTRUCTION

0 blogger

The 2027 Presidential election is expected to be a major fight between PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU and his biggest challenger, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR. It promises to be the battle of the Tians. A third force, hopefully, may show up, like it did in 2023, but not with enough fire power and tenacity to upstage, and obliterate, the two elder statesmen.

This is why it has become pertinent and urgent, for our dear party ADC to change the traditional way of playing politics by becoming a link between the old and modern, conservative and cosmopolitan tendencies, and veteran politicians and technocrats in government. There's no better combination than this duo, assuring of a colorful blend. The North and the South will reunite in a game of ethnic & religious rivalries.

The present combustive tensions and absolute chaos cannot be allowed to continue. It will consume all of us.

The time has come to retrace our steps and return to the days of robust ideas, ideologies, and inspirational figures. Our founding fathers, such as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, The Sardauna Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and others, tried their best, even if they were not perfect. Today, we've completely derailed from the legacies they bequeathed to us. The politics of gangsterism has become unbearably malignant in our nation. This is the type of strong bridge we need between the North and the South.

We must act before it is too late...

Twinkles Beauty: Shop Products for Acne Prone Skin

0 blogger

Acne-prone skin is one of the most misunderstood skin types in the world of skincare. It is often treated as a temporary condition to be fixed instead of a skin type to be managed with care and consistency. Consequently, many people reach for the harshest products available, strip their skin bare, and wonder why the breakouts keep coming back. The cycle is frustrating, and it is entirely avoidable with the right information and the right products.

Acne prone skin produces excess sebum, experiences frequent clogged pores, and reacts poorly to the wrong formulations. But it is also capable of being clear, balanced, and healthy when given a routine built around its actual needs. That routine does not have to be expensive or complicated. It has to be right.

At Twinkles Beauty, founded in Ghana and now operating across Nigeria with delivery reaching customers in the US, Canada, the UK, and many more countries worldwide, the goal has always been to make effective skincare accessible to everyone. For those managing acne prone skin, Twinkles Beauty stocks a carefully selected range of products that address the root causes of breakouts without breaking the budget.

Skincare Products for Acne Prone Skin

Building a routine for acne prone skin is about balance. The aim is to clear congestion, control excess oil, and heal existing breakouts while keeping the skin barrier intact and well moisturized. Every product in the routine plays a specific role.

Salicylic Acid Cleanser

Cleansing is the foundation of any acne routine, and for acne-prone skin, a salicylic acid cleanser is one of the most effective tools available. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, meaning it penetrates into the pores and clears out the sebum and dead skin cells that cause blockages. Used morning and evening, it keeps the pores clean and significantly reduces the frequency of new breakouts over time. The formulation should be gentle enough not to over-strip the skin. Tightness and dryness after cleansing are signs that the cleanser is too harsh and will ultimately worsen oil production.

Alcohol-Free Toner

After cleansing, a toner helps rebalance the skin and prepare it for treatment products. For acne prone skin, an alcohol-free toner with ingredients like niacinamide, witch hazel, or tea tree extract is ideal. These ingredients calm inflammation, tighten the appearance of pores, and control excess oil without causing irritation. Toners with high alcohol content should be avoided entirely as they disrupt the skin barrier and trigger more oil production in response.

Targeted Spot Treatment

A spot treatment applied directly to active breakouts accelerates healing and prevents further inflammation. Formulations containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or sulfur are well established for this purpose. Apply a small amount only to the affected area after toning and allow it to absorb fully before the next step.

Oil-Free Moisturiser

Skipping moisturizer is one of the most common mistakes made by people with acne prone skin. When the skin is dehydrated, it compensates by producing even more oil, which feeds directly into more breakouts. A lightweight, oil-free moisturiser with a non-comedogenic formulation hydrates the skin without blocking pores. Gel moisturisers are particularly well suited to oily and acne prone skin types. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid and aloe vera for hydration without heaviness.

SPF Moisturiser for Daytime

Sun protection is a non-negotiable step in any skincare routine, including one for acne prone skin. UV exposure worsens post-acne dark spots and delays the healing of active breakouts. A lightweight, non-comedogenic SPF 30 or higher, applied every morning as the final step, protects the skin and supports an even, clear complexion over time.

Clay Mask, Once or Twice Weekly

A clay mask used once or twice a week draws excess oil and impurities from deep within the pores. It is a powerful supplementary step for acne prone skin and visibly refines texture with consistent use.

RE: FAKE NEWS ALERT – DUMO LULU-BRIGGS HAS NOT DEFEATED BLESSING FUBARA. NDC RIVERS PRIMARIES INCONCLUSIVE

0 blogger

The attention of the NDC supporters of Blessing Fubara, Rivers State governorship aspirant under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has been drawn to media reports and online posts claiming: _"Billionaire Businessman Dumo Lulu-Briggs Defeats Gov. Sim Fubara's Brother to Win NDC Governorship Primaries in Rivers State."

We wish to categorically debunk this report as misinformation, false, and misleading.

1. No official result released: The NDC governorship primaries for Rivers State are yet to be concluded. The Nigeria Democratic Congress and INEC have not issued any official declaration of a winner. Any claim of victory by any aspirant, including Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, at this stage is premature, unofficial, and amounts to spreading falsehood.

2. Process still ongoing: Delegates’ verification, collation, and final certification by the NDC National Secretariat and INEC are still in progress. Blessing Fubara remains a bonafide aspirant in the race and is actively participating in the due process as prescribed by the party constitution and the Electoral Act.

3. Commitment to due process: We respect Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs and all NDC members. However, we reject attempts to mislead the public with unverified claims. The NDC stands for transparency, order, and the rule of law. Declaring winners before INEC and the party’s official announcement undermines democracy and the integrity of the primaries.

We urge media houses, bloggers, and the public to disregard the fake report. We call on the NDC National Working Committee, INEC, and security agencies to investigate and sanction peddlers of misinformation ahead of 2027.

Blessing Fubara remains focused, peaceful, and committed to the NDC ideals of service, unity, and progress for Rivers State. We will only speak through official party channels once the process is concluded.

NDC Guber Primary: Fubara Leads In 15 Rivers Local Government Areas

0 blogger

The coast may getting clearer for top contender, Blessing Fubara to emerge as the governorship flag bearer of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Rivers state as the results so far collated show him leading in fifteen out of the 23 local government areas with wide margin

Four aspirants, including Blessing Fubara Snr. Dumo Lulu Briggs, Fafahdan Princewill and Mike Willy are in the race to seek the NDC ticket to contest the 2027 governorship election in Rivers State.

According to a statement  issued Saturday by the Coalition of Obidient/Kwankwasiyya Movement primary election observer group, the election has been  peaceful in Rivers state, while coalition is currently ongoing with Blessing Fubara showing a strong lead in about 15 LGAs

The observer group in the statement issued by George Brown, Hon. Victor F. Heart, and Shriff Farouk for the Obidient Movement, as well as Eric Koko, Ibiwari George Green and Mohammed Abdullahi for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, said the coalition, in its desire to ensure transparency in the NDC primary election across the country, dispatched its members across the country to follow and monitor the conduct of the primary election committee in the states with due diligence, adding that the conduct has been very peaceful and commendable in Rivers State.

The OK Movement therefore warned all aspirants to desist from taking the media spaces available to them to cause confusion and ridicule the smooth conduct of the primary election, warning that no individual  should announce any illegal result or declare himself  winner, while coalition of results is still ongoing, saying it is only the party-empowered election committee that has the right to do so

The group therefore urged the public and members of the NDC in Rivers state to ignore and disregard any primary election result that did not officially come from the party

The statement further commended the outcome of the NDC members at the various venues of the primary election in Rivers state,  stressing that the huge number was an indication that the NDC will make a commendable statement in the state during the 2027 polls

According to the statement,  "based on the results so far collated in 15 LGAs, Blessing Fubara Snr  has shown a wide lead, over the other aspirants, but we are yet to get the final result and no individual including the aspirants or group is permitted  to announced any result. The only authentic result will be declared by the primary election committee and the party after all results have been collated

"We therefore call on the aspirants and their supporters to desist from the ongoing social  media declaration as no result has been declared yet in the Rivers NDC governorship primary  elections. The committee is still at work.

"Some of the desperate aspirants are going contrary to the party’s desire by making unofficial declarations on social media outlets. This is not acceptable, as it amounts to putting the NDC like the other political parties which the party has taken serious steps to be different from

"The OK primary election observer group therefore warns all the aspirants in all the states to remove desperation and allow  the election committees to do their party assigned duties diligently as directed by the NDC leadership"

The observer group similarly warned the members of the committee in Rivers and other states not to allow themselves to be used by desperate aspirants  to compromise the outcome of the governorship primaries, as doing so will mean the NDC has not shown any difference with the other political parties it has distanced itself from

"They must be fair and  transparent enough to ensure that the votes of the members who have shown serious commitment to the NDC, by coming out in their numbers to pick their candidate for the governorship election must count," the OK observer group warned
